TCU Horned Frogs Team began playing football in 1896 and demand national championships in 1935 and 1938. TCU positions as the 28th best college football program ever and the fourth best private college football school ever, behind Notre Dame, USC, and Miami-FL. TCU’s first year of football began on December 7, 1896, by the name AddRan Male and Female College. In 1920, TCU team won its first meeting title as an individual from the Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA).

Matty Bell, who started instructing the Frogs in 1923, had his greatest year in 1928, his last year as a mentor. In 1923, TCU persevered through a 5-amusement winning streak amid its first year in the SWC. The 1929 season saw the entry of Coach Francis Schmidt and TCU’s first SWC title. The title was won in the last round of the year on November 30, 1929, against SMU. Coming into the amusement TCU drove SMU in the gathering standings.

1935 started the primary year for TCU mentor Dutch Meyer. In 1958, Dutch Meyer resigned and his backfield right hand, Abe Martin, moved toward becoming a head mentor at TCU. One of his three attempts at an SWC title came. After TCU won the 1959 SWC title, the Horned Frogs did not acquire another offer of the gathering title for a long time. In 2017, TCU and Coach Patterson achieved their tenth 11 win season since Gary Patterson has been instructing for the program.
